Are you struggling to read your gas or electricity meter?
Your gas or electricity meter records how much energy you’ve used. Your energy supplier will need this when calculating your bill - if they don’t have it, they’ll estimate your usage, meaning your bill might be too high or low.
You should give your supplier regular meter readings - you should be able to do this by calling them.
There's a great guide on Citizen's Advice which explains how to do this correctly in a really clear and concise way. They even have helpful diagrams for each of the main types of meter.
Their guide is here: Citizens Advice - How To Read Your Energy Meter
